What Are The Risks With Rhinoplasty

Like any surgery procedure rhinoplasty comes with risks.  If you choose a credible and experienced plastic surgeon the risk is much less. Either way, you’ve got to educate yourself on all possible risks and complications that may occur. Some of the more common complications are nosebleed, possibly a negative reaction to the anesthesia, and quite possibly some infectious reactions.

When your surgeon gives you specific pre and post surgery instructions, follow them exactly and you won’t have to deal with too many complications, if any at all. The risk of infection is always there like any surgery, but again, listening specifically to your cosmetic surgeons instructions and advice will minimize this occurrence dramatically.

Some of the risks and complications of your rhinoplasty surgery are:

Bleeding: Experiecning bleeding after your surgery is very normal. In fact, it may last up to 4 weeks. You must do the best you can not to blow your nose or pick it if you want to keep the bleeding to a minimum.

Burst Blood Vessels: After your surgery, you may experience a very small burst of blood vessels that look like tiny red spots on the very surface of your nose skin. They spots may become permanent. The chances are minimal, but they could happen on rare occasions.

Abnormal Shape: Unfortunaetly you may come out of surgery with an abnormal nose shape. This could be a surgery issue or the patient didn’t follow surgeon instructions to keep the head elevated, or quite possible sleeping on one side could do it as well.

Infection: Infection around the wound area can easily happen but the chances are under 5%, so follow instructions and it won’t happen anyways.

Is Cost Of Atlanta Rhinoplasty Surgery Expensive

If you are researching the cost of rhinoplasty surgery in Atlanta, or the state of Georgia for that matter, it will vary depending upon the surgeons experience, the area you live in (Atlanta would be more expensive than a smaller suburban area for instance), also the price would vary depending on how extensive the surgery needed to be to get your nose the way you want it.

Please keep in mind your estimate will not be accurate until the surgeons examines you and comes up with a surgical procedure needed. Atlanta rhinoplasty will be a little bit on the high end due to it being a big metropolis.

Given the above information the range for rhinoplasty costs are as low as $3,000 to as high as $8,000. The fee is broken down into the fee for the actual surgery, for the anesthesia and lastly the facility (hospital).  The anesthesia price will be $600 - $1,000, the cost for the faccility $700 to $1,100, and the remaining balance is for the surgeon’s fee.

As you can see… the plastic surgeons fee is the biggest portion of the bill, but also the most difficult to figure out before hand.  But I would not cut corners in hiring the most qualified cosmetic surgeon even if the fee is a bit on the high side. You don’t want to be disappointed with the result, since you’ll have to live with it.

If you find that the cost is out of your price range, you can ask your surgeon if they provide financing or if they can take monthly payments.

If you’ve been considering a “nose job” for some time and you reside in Atlanta, this city is full of credible cosmetic surgeons (we will provide you with many resources on this site) who can give you the results you want. You must make sure the plastic surgeon you ultimately choose is board certified, has several years of professional experience, and several referrals (previous or current patients) you can talk to about their experience and the results of their rhinoplasty procedure.

Correcting a deformity with your nose can give you a boost of confidence that literally change both your personal and professional life. Many of us have lived with our physical insecurities and have made life choices based on them. All it takes is a physical change (rhinoplasty surgery) and the world can be yours.

Interview at least two maybe three plastic surgeons before you make your final decision. Your nose is a piece of you and you should not make a choice lightly.  Educate yourself first… then make your best decision based on all the information you gathered.
